Learn Softball Toronto provides beginner instruction to non-binary, transgender, and women adults 18 years of age and up. We offer flexible and affordable group instruction that allows players to learn at their own pace. Learn Softball Toronto is led by coaches who are experienced players that work to create a safe and inclusive space to learn softball.
Since its launch in 2021, Learn Softball Toronto has worked with over 100 players with many graduating to other leagues and many choosing to return to play additional seasons with Learn Softball Toronto.
Learn Softball Toronto is 100% volunteer-driven and promotes capacity building of our coaches and players through coaching training, umpire development, and partnerships with other leagues.
Learn Softball Toronto has a number of goals:
- Build community.
- Have fun.
- Provide a safe space to learn.
- Provide a foundation for an enjoyment and understanding of the game.
- Reduce barriers to accessing softball, including: cost, access to equipment, knowledge, and comfortable place to learn.
- Provide guidance to anyone that may want to know more about softball and baseball leagues.
- Provide exposure to other sports leagues.
In 2022, Learn Softball Toronto became a registered not-for-profit organization, solidifying its commitment to helping beginner softball players.
