The Beginner Program is played from 7pm-8:25pm and its sessions consist of skill-building activities to give players foundational knowledge, followed by a game. The Intermediate Program is game-focused and is played from 8:30-9:45pm. Both programs play Mondays from May to September.

Required Equipment
A glove – that’s it.
Though we understand sourcing a glove can be challenging. We welcome the use of secondhand gloves, since they tend to come worked in. If you’re unsure about the glove you have, consult our Guide on Sourcing Gloves or connect with us and we’ll help you.
Though we recommend the following optional items:
- Cleats (spikey shoes for better traction).
- A batting helmet, if sharing a helmet isn’t for you. We require all in-game batters and base runners to wear a helmet.
- Batting gloves.
- A fielder’s mask, again if sharing is not for you.
- Guide on Sourcing Safety Gear, we are BIG FANS of safety at Learn Softball Toronto.
Registration
Registration for the 2026 Beginner and Intermediate programs will open in March 2026.
Learn Softball Toronto also seeks to reduce barriers to accessing softball. If cost, method of payment, or required equipment is a barrier to you playing, please let us know.
